Saint Laurent crystal boots, furniture from Celine and Rick Owens, and behind-the-scenes tours from Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Dior are among the donations being auctioned online for France’s Sidaction AIDs charity in partnership with the FHCM body which organises Paris Fashion Week.
FHCM’s closing gala for haute couture week, scuttled this year due to the pandemic, raised as much as €780,000 in 2020 for Sidaction. The group dedicated to research, treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS was presided by Pierre Bergé, Yves Saint Laurent’s life and business partner, from 1996 until his death in 2017, and has long been a go-to cause for the French fashion industry.
The auction, which is set to go live Thursday, will collect bids through Sunday, January 30.
