The French department store said Wednesday it will broadcast four 20-minute programmes from its Boulevard Haussmann flagship store via its website and on social media. The first show will launch on June 23, followed by shows on July 7, 21 and 28.
So far, uptake of livestream shopping has been slow to catch on in Europe, and Printemps claims to be the first department store in France to experiment with the service. In March, Nordstrom also launched a series of livestreaming events.
Each of Printemps’ livestream events will showcase a selection of fashion, beauty and lifestyle pieces. Shoppers will be able to ask questions directly to the hosting personal shopper through a chat function.
