The Dallas-based retailer created the role of fashion and lifestyle director for Aiken, who will report to chief merchandising officer and president Lana Todorovich, Neiman Marcus announced Wednesday, June 16. Her post begins in August.

Aiken’s hire will strengthen Neiman Marcus’ merchandising division, which includes partnerships with 3,000 new and existing brand partners, the company said. The retailer emerged from bankruptcy last fall.

At Moda, Aiken was the fashion and buying director. Previously, she has worked for Net-a-Porter and MyTheresa. In her new position, Aiken will work to identify emerging brands, develop partnerships and help drive sales among Neiman Marcus’ “loyal luxury customer base,” the company said.

“We have been on a journey to find a global fashion leader who is a digital native and will help accelerate the growth of Neiman Marcus’ loyal brand portfolio with a fresh perspective,” Todorovich said in the release.
